Travel Theme Girl Nursery

Baby girl’s room is officially complete! I was completely shocked when we found out we were having a girl (name to be deteremined, I’m so bad at commiting). So I wasn’t prepared to do anything to the nursery. For my own sake, I decided to keep Parker’s travel theme, especailly since I am working on decorating his bog boy room still (almost done too!). I basically didn’t want to paint (although I really want a giant rainbow in here, but I literally just painted the line wall, maybe in her big girl room someday LOL), and just wanted to add decor that was more feminine to the space. I’m really happy with how it came together!

I kept the airplane banner Parker had, but added a few pastel hot air baloons to lighten it up. I changed out the lampshade and changing pad cover (OBSESSED with this pattern), and of course added rainbows anywhere I could. Hey it’s travel themed, rainbows are in the sky :)

Over here, all I changed out was the fabric banner behind the airplane. I moved the more primary color one into Parker’s new room, but didn’t want to have to take down the airplane. So I think with the yellow and brown in it, it works!

These pink velvet curtains with the orange tassels are just amazing. I moved the green curtains into Parker’s room so they weren’t wasted, and the added black out curtains to behind these for extra light blocking! You can also see the rug I went with. Little dangerous being a cream rug, but I love it, and so far so good!

Aaron and I love this map that we made with a quote from Harry Potter on it. So that for sure was staying. Plus its extremly light, so I don’t worry with things hanging over the crib. This mobile I got from Target and then added some wooden beads to it to make it a little more boho. It goes great with the wooden arch we already had from Parker.

Oh the girly patterns and blankets. I don’t necessarily love lots of pink and color, but I really love all the florals and pastels for little girls. So sweet.

Changed out/rearranged a few things on top of her dresser. If you watch my Instgram stories, I actually made that macrame. Kinda suprised myself with tha one. I still wanted the globe in there (travel, hello), but pink and gold was awfully fun.

And there you have it! Nothing major, but basically I kept half the decor, ran with the same theme, and didn’t have to paint. Parker took a lot of the deocr I didn’t use with him, which was helpful in getting me started on his room!

Let me know what you think, and keep an eye out to see how I finish off his big boy room next!
