Parker's Big Boy Room

I am so excited to finally share my sweet boy’s big boy room. He has been sleeping in here for several months now, through the night, just in time for his little sister to take over the nursery! This was origonally our guest room, so we had already changed out the ceiling fan, added the board and batten, and painted the walls and closet doors. So it was mainly decorating and the you know, the minor detail of building his bed. Thank you Aaron and Trevor again for that!

This bed really is perfect for what we need. The first couple months Parker would roll out of it, which while startling, was okay since he was right off the ground. We added the Beddy’s Bedding and love how easy it is to zip up to help keep him in, and to make the bed! I moved the banner from his airplane in the bed, and love that it gets to move with him!

I added these little cubbies to this corner for a little bit of toy storage. He doesn’t have a ton of toys in his room, but I love having a space for everything. And baskets are basically my storage solution for all things toddler right now.

Origonally I had a pile of pillows in the corner, and while Parker loved it, mom and dad needed something a little higher off the ground to sit in LOL I love these bookshelves from IKEA and I actually made that wall hanging with the clouds for him!

I LOVE this gallery wall above his dresser. I’ve been steering away from gallery walls, but I love the character and fun it add to this space. And it has one of my favorite quotes on the canvas from Lindsay Letters.

“In this house, your best will always be good enough.”

Talk about an amazing parenting motto, huh?

His dresser has his diffuser/nightlight, his choo choo train, and a few fun little toys. And of course a print with a nod to Harry Potter. Honestly suprised we didn’t have a Harry Potter themed nursery. If Aaron was shopping for it, we probably would :)

And that’s the tour! It’s such a sweet fun space, with plenty of room for him to play, sleep, and dream. It’s so crazy that in just a few short years, we went from having so much extra space, to each room in our house having a purpose and filling a need! Next up is baby girl getting here, so she can start using her room!
