How I Fight my Acne with Clarisonic

So as my younger sisters like to remind me far too often, I'm officially closer to 30 than 20. Hardly, but still. So why is it that now I struggle with acne more than I ever did as a teenager??? You should definetly not be trying to prevent wrinkles and fighting acne at the same time!

Having to cover up pimples with make up, being embarrassed during meetings and interviews, or even just going out with friends, was getting old. You can always tell when I am stressed out about something, because I break out like crazy! Several of you know that I have spent six years of my adult life working in a dermatology office. For those that don't, you should know we sell Clarisonic in our office, because we genuinely see it work. So I feel like I can review and promote this product from an honest standpoint on it's quality and results!

So how does it work???

The bristles of a Clarisonic cleansing brush head move back and forth, or "oscillate", gently flexing the skin and flushing water and cleanser into pores. The sonic cleansing removes the dirt, oil, and debris that ages your skin and causes breakouts. Because Clarisonic facial cleansing devices don't exfoliate (a common myth!) Clarisonic is gentle enough for twice-daily use, even on the most sensitive skin.

I tired three different brush heads and here's what I thought:

The Radiance Brush Head: This is the head attachment that comes with your Mia 1. It has extra fine bristles and really gives you a good, gentle clean. This is the one I plan on using for daily useand maintenance.

Acne Brush Head: This one was designed for sensitive, oily, and acne-prone skin. This was my favorite attachment. I felt like it cleaned just a little deeper and stronger than the standard brush head and helped to target some of my flare up spots.

Deep Pore Brush Head: has graduated dual-action bristles to help flush and dislodge oil and debris that clogs pores. After using this brush, I really felt that my skin was tight and bright! I have one dilated pore already and I plan to do everything I can to avoid getting another!

What else do I need to know???

Studies have shown that Clarisonic cleans skin SIX TIMES better than hands alone. Plus it's waterproof!

The Clarisonic does not cause breakouts because it does not agitate the skin or spread bacteria. It is patented, and while other devices might feel good, nothing delivers results like Clarisonic. The brush heads are made of a soft, non-porous material that does not harbor bacteria, and the bristles are uniquely rounded for an effective cleanse.

Ya'll ready to see a before and after? So first disclaimer, I am not a photographer, nor was I trying to take a selfie any closer to my face than I had to. However, you can still see the two angry spots I have on my face, several small never resolving bumps on my forehead, and not photographed well, but always annoying, are the little bumps I couldn't seem to get rid of in my "sideburn" :) part of my skin right in front of my ear. Cute, huh?

I've used the Mia 1 over the course of the last month twice a day and am so happy with the results. I struggle with picking once I get a spot, and the Clarisonic has helped me prevent acne before it starts! The small bumps on my forehead are almost gone, and I love the way my skin feels. It's easy, gentle, and effective!

And the best part about me telling you about my experience, is that I get to share the savings with you too!
