Seven Layer Dip


Happy Fourth of July everyone! 

We are hosting the holiday at our house this year, so that means lots of cleaning and food! I teamed up with Salsarita's this week to save some time on preparing an appetizer!

A spin off of my mom's old recipe, I took several of Salsarita's food options to create a seven layer dip!

It was the perfect dish to snack on throughout the day, and with everything already cooked, it only took a few minutes to prepare! All while seeming like I had put a good bit of effort into it :)



Ground Beef

Refried Beans


Mild Salsa

Pineapple Salsa

Shredded Cheese







In a 9 x 13 casserole dish I spread out the refried beans. That seemed to hold everything together better! Next I mixed the ground beef and queso together (those two in and of themselves would be a yummy dip). 

I actually kept these two layers warm, even heated them in the oven for a little bit, but that's purely a personal preference! Most dips are served cold!

Next came the guac! I had to fight my husband off to keep him from eating this by itself before I was able to use it. 

Then I mixed together my two different salsas. This pineapple salsa is a personal favorite, although I was tempted to add their corn salsa as well!

I added shredded cheese to the top (there can never be enough cheese) and then for the last layer some lettuce! 

I picked up an extra large bag of chips while I was there and was good to go!


I absolutely love hosting and party planning, but sometimes there just isn't enough time to do it all! This was a great solution to having an awesome appetizer that everyone loved, and not having to spend much time on it! Plus there are so many ways you can change it up to suit your taste preferences!
