15 Father's Day Gift Ideas

LifeJessica RayomeComment

So if you didn't already realize it, Father's Day is this weekend. It is a day set aside to honor fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. I got pretty lucky in the Dad department, and plan on spending the afternoon with my parent's and grandparents. However, I always seem to struggle with what in the world to get him for a present!

As I started researching options of what to get, knowing you could spend as much or as little as you wanted, I came up with a list! Hope this helps you last minute shoppers!

2. Personalized frame or mug

Especially if you can find a childhood photo of the two of you. I've always liked this one of the two of us.

3. Funny T shirt or really any clothes

For some reason my dad never buys himself clothes, so it's never a bad bet to get him something nice to wear. Or just something funny.

This one is from Zazzle and I thought it was fitting. lol

4. Tickets to the game

Grab some tickets to his favorite team, or if there is a sport you like going to together, tickets are a great option. He knows you were thinking of him, plus that you want to spend time with him.

So really anything would do, especially depending on your budget constraints. I really liked this gift set from Merchants of Beverage that specializes in creating cocktail kits. This particular one is "The Ultimate Old Fashioned Kit."

8. The BioLite Base Camp Stove

So this is a major splurge item, and maybe you could either go in on it together, or give him a gift card to put towards it. It was just too cool not to share.

It converts heat into useable electricity for both cooking and charging. Whether you want to be super classy while camping, or have something small for if you're working out of the back of your car this is pretty awesome.  Check it out here

13. Socks

I'm not sure why, but socks are always a good default gift. But not the ones that come in the giant packs that are all the same. I'm talking about the fun ones, that go up to at least your calf maybe even to the knee. And in true Kentucky fashion, the ones I'm currently loving on are from Kentucky for Kentucky. Plus my dad is a UK fan so it's a double win with these socks.

14. Giftcards

There are certain stores that dad's avoid going into and others that you can't get the out of. I've never viewed giving a gift card to any of these as not putting thought into a gift. Personally, I think it means you pay enough attention to know where they would shop, but know they would rather research and purchase it themselves. Some suggestions would be The Home Depot, Cabellas, Bass Pro Shop, or maybe even the movies.

15. Backyard Lighting

Currently I'm loving on these wine bottle tiki torches, but anything to liven up the patio or fire pit is sure to be a hit!

So there's my list! There are a hundred different variations you could do, but hopefully that gives you a start! As long as it's personal and shows you were thinking of him, I guarantee he'll love it!
