Pumpkin Bread

So my granny is a wonderful cook. But there are three things that she makes that are simply fantastic. Her chicken and dumplins, apple sauce, and her pumpkin bread. And no matter how hard I try, hers are always better. Maybe it's her oven, or the pan she uses, or just simply the fact that I didn't make it.


3 cups sugar
1 cup liquid Crisco
3 beaten eggs
2 cups pumpkin
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon of each: cinnamon, nutmeg, and soda


In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs and pumpkin. Blend in flour, soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. 

Spray bundt pan with Pam and flour. 

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven and let cool. Flip over onto plate and cover with powdered sugar. Because more sugar is always an option.
